Dating a narcissistic outcomes
If you say something that's a good idea, don't expect credit from a deeply entrenched narcissist.
But he's likely to say your idea later as if it was his own.
Like a master salesperson, they use charisma to get your attention, flattery to make you feel special, seduction (flirting, gifts, dinners, get-aways, etc.) to lift you off your feet, and persuasion to get you to give them what they want. The divorce was final last June and he walked away from a fully paid home and other financial assets.
Some sexual narcissists are very good in bed (at least they think they are), for sex is used as a tool to impress, entrap, and manipulate. As a narcissist, he says "this is what happened to me for cheating" but what he is really saying is "this is what that bitch took from me".
Then one day, I was at his house, standing beside him in the kitchen, and he was putting butter on a roll.
He turned to walk away, taking a bite out of the roll, and left me standing there.
At that time, we had only been dating a couple of months. To me, it seemed abnormal to prepare the roll and eat it, while offering me nothing.
Unfortunately, the same can't be said for narcissists. Narcissism is a clinical term for what generally boils down to selfishness.
They succeed in watching out for themselves and, at the same time, respond with generosity and compassion.
When you say something to them, they seem to hear it and take it seriously.
Narcissis, as many know, was the legendary character who fell in love with his own reflection.
A narcissist is someone who, usually due to childhood trauma or over-doting parents, has become obsessed with himself.
